Back from WashU

I'm finally home from my brief visit to WashU and I must say that I am more in love with the school than ever. The campus is georgeous and the dorms are just wonderful. There are so many different wonderful things about the school. The people there are just so friendly, its amazing. Everyone...from the students, to the teachers, to the office clerks. They always have a smile on your face and make you feel like you are just welcomed and loved. When I was there, I felt like I was apart of the community already. One of the things that I really love is the fact that Wash U almost encourages multiple majors. 60 percent of students double major and 90 percent graduate in four years. This shows how felxible the school is. I guess I'll be able to do a double major in math and philosphy and a minor in education after all. This school is definately my first choice now. The only thing that would make it perfect is if there were more black and latino students. I did see a number of African Americans and I spoke with them, and there are myriad black organizations so that shouldn't be a problem, but I do wish that there were more latino/as

All in all, Wash U is the hidden gem of the nation. Highly ranked school, great community, beautiful campus, friendly people...what more can you ask for in a school? Hopefully I get in and can call this place home next fall :-)

Are you applying EDI? =)

no RD but I might change to EDII...I need to get my test scores up a bit and I just want a lil time to make sure everything is perfect
