Is it possible to take a MW 10-11 and a MW 11-12 in the same semester? is there some "travel time" built in?

yes, all classes actually end 10 minutes early. your first class gets over at 10:50.

speaking from experience...

try to avoid it. most classes run over, and unless the two classes are in the same building (or adjacent ones) you'll be frustrated trying to make it to class on time.

feel free to post your specific case and ask for more detailed advice

i've had back to back classes that were on the complete opposite sides of campus (one in the engineering buildings, one in a bio/zoology building) and it took almost exactly 10 minutes walking very briskly to get from class to class

obviously when the first class went over, i was late for the second class, it's also somewhat tiring

however i've also had back to back classes in the same building, which is very nice

You'll see what building your classes are in once you get schedules and such. You don't want to have to walk a whole lot if classes are back to back. One time I had such an awful setup: Walking from Huntsman to DRL and then immediately back to Huntsman. Talk about suckage. If you can, minimize that sort of thing as much as possible. Sometimes teachers will keep you late and then you have to mad dash to the next class to make it on time. If you can't avoid this, then talk with your teachers and let them know your situation. They'll be understanding of it -- as long as they know you're not just being lazy, they'll tolerate slight tardiness if you're having to walk a long distance from a late class.

I echo legendofmax. I HATE having breaks between classes, so I try to schedule my classes back-to-back as much as possible. I do try to minimize long walks, however. That being said, for two consecutive semesters I had physics in DRL followed immediately by biology in Leidy. Talk about a long walk... however, by walking briskly we (my fellow pre-med friends in the same situation) were almost never late to bio. Campus is small enough that almost any walk is manageable in 10 minutes, but you still should try (for your own sake) to minimize the long, tough walks if possible.
