Back to School in August an Advantage?

I know that there are a number of schools that begin in August. We're from NY and begin early September. Are the kids going back to school in August, and applying, at an advantage over those applying in September?

It’s only an advantage if the school you’re applying to has Rolling Admission. Other then that, no. Applying in August and September is really early even for ED/EA applicants. Don’t rush anything unless you’re days away from the deadline. Just as long as you submit your application before the deadline then you are at no advantage nor disadvantage.

If you can get your applications in early then that’s great. Less stress, more concentration on school and sports, and you can just relax. I plan to do that.
