back up plan for premed student?

<p>Hello. I'm planning to major in psychology at UCSD in fall and apply for medschool after I graduate college. But my parents think that I should also have a back up plan if (IF) I decide not to become a doctor. </p>

<p>The problem is.. if I major in Psychology, I don't really have any job options than psychologist, which I don't want to become. </p>

<p>In my case, do you think I'm making a bad choice of majoring in psychology? I'm interested in topic, but I have no intent of spending my life on it. </p>

<p>Should I also consider future job option as I consider my major options?</p>

<p>I'm just really confused.. so Please Help!!</p>
