I am getting very anxious for my son. Binghamton is his first choice. He hasn't heard anything but friends of his got their acceptance letters yesterday. He has NOT been able to login through the backdoor method. Is there anyone here who has received an acceptance letter but was unable to log in via this method? Please let me know! The wait is getting very difficult here and I am looking for some reassurance for him.

I am in the same boat as your S. I have a friend who was accepted (gpa 88, sat 1260). But I have one who was rejected (gpa 87, sat 1200).

I have a 91 gpa and 1220 sats. I am panicking :(

oh and I cant log in to pay my deposit either :(

For the umpteenth time: using the QuikPay “method” is not official. Some students have been horrified to receive rejection letters, despite being eligible to pay a deposit.

Until you receive a paper notification, the QuikPay “method” is absolute bologna. I hope I’m making this clear.

Just outta sheer curiosity, cuz this was my plan if i had gotten a rejection letter, what would happen if you got rejected but paid the deposit?

You’d need to contact Admissions, as you are obviously not supposed to be paying any deposits if you were rejected.
