<p>No, this sort of thing happens all the time. Be sure to call the school now, rather than waiting until right before you're expected, and explain that you will no longer be attending the weekend.</p>

<p>Well, feel free to feel bad, but from a monetary perspective, they're going to spend more money on you if you go and have no intention of picking the program than if you back out now.</p>
<p>Odds are good they'll be able to fill your hotel room or get a refund from the hotel if you tell them in advance.</p>
