Backpack for college? (Girls)

Trying to find a good-quality backpack that is water-resistant (rain), decently stylish/cute (but anything that is not completely hiking backpack/hardcore laptop backpack looking is fine), and can hold a reasonable amount of books/notebooks, preferably with a laptop sleeve and water bottle holder.

Does it exist?

I've looked at the Dakine Prom and Kipling Seoul Protection backpack, but they seem kind of small?

I’m having the same problem! Here’s my thread.

Maybe between the two of us, we’ll find a good backpack  I was looking at the Dakine Crystal. I’d never heard of Dakine before a couple of days ago though TBH.

Here they have videos of all of the Dakine backpacks if you’re interested.

I actually went to Costco today and bought a “High Sierra Energy Pack” in like an easter-colory grid pattern today. It has a laptop sleeve that fits up to 15", cellphone pocket on one strap, mp3 hole, and water bottle pocket, and is kinda bulky, but not too hikey looking so I’m fine with it. It was only $16.99 too, and is of good quality/weather-resistant. Much better deal that the $40-80 backpacks I was looking at, but just not as pretty. Oh well, nobody really cares. :)

In short, I’d recommend to check it out for girls who are looking for this type of backpack. I have scoliosis so backpacks are better for my back. Only this pattern looked good to me though. :)

North face and under armor have some good ones.

The Northface backpacks are unbeatable in terms of durability, weather resistance, and sturdiness. They can be pricey but they will last you for a very long time. I’ve had mine for 8 years now.

I’d go with the Jaunt, Women’s Borealis, or Isabella backpack (the one I have). They all have a laptop compartment and the straps are nicely padded so the backpacks will feel comfortable on your back and shoulders even with a lot of weight.

DD has had her Northface backpack survive for five years of overpacking, zipper strain, rough handling and other forms of abuse.
