Hi guys.

I was just wondering if a backpack was really necessary or would a purse large enough to hold notebooks and pens and such be enough?

I was just wondering if a backpack was really necessary or would a purse large enough to hold notebooks and pens and such be enough?

I’m not sure of how big a purse you have, but if you’re getting a laptop, that thing is going to weigh heavily in your purse if you’re holding it over one shoulder, so a backpack would be preferable.

I say… wait until you get there to figure out if you need one. If your classes are really far away and you have a laptop, you’ll probably want a backpack or messenger-type bag. A normal purse will just get messed up if you try to cram too much in there. :)

Backpack are helpful. But not necessary. I would get one just in case you have to lug your textbooks + laptop to class = pain in the arse.

If you’re living on campus, and you gaps in between your classes, you don’t need one. Just carry your notebook/pencil/pens whatever you need back & forth. I had a bag in the beginning, and then slowly stopped using it & just carrying my stuff in my arms.

i used a large purse/hobo bag because i didn’t have class one after another. it all dpeends on your course load and if your’e going to carry your laptop around ( i dont’ see why you would because it only distracts you…)
