I'm just curious as to what girls mainly use to carry around their books and stuff. When I visited the campus, I think I saw a lot of backpacks, but I just want to make sure before I buy one. Thanks in advance :)

You are correct; backpacks are the most common by far.

Generally, backpacks. (North Face is popular.) But some students also use messenger bags (Chrome, Timbuk2). It all depends on what you’re looking for.

i’d go with a backpack. they’re a lot more practical, comfortable, and common than any other bags.

could you please tell me which one… messenger bags or the bag packs are trendy in colleges???

My daughter is a soph at Notre Dame. I sent her to school as a frosh with a North Face backpack. She came home this summer and bought a longchamp tote for her books. She said most of the girls use these. Pricey for sure, but if you want trendy, that is your answer.

Honestly, no one cares. Use what you did in HS if it is still holding up

You will see some of everything on campus. Also depends on what you carry. If you have a laptop, books, and workout clothes, a backpack is better for handling the weight. Totebags or messenger bags are good for lighter stuff, but the weight is on one shoulder. You are also out in the rain and snow a lot, so waterproof or closed bag is something to consider.

Get whatever you’re comfortable with. Literally no one cares. At all.

For what it’s worth, I still rock the messenger bag I had when I was a senior at ND. And that was back in 2005.
