Backup plan. Bioinformatics major for FBI?

OK, so im making a back up plan here just in case i dont get into medical school or if i decide not to take that route. My second career choice would be a FBI Special Agent. Im trying to decide my major for college this fall. I was thinking Bioinformatics and taking the Pre-Med courses. Bioinformatics because i read that it teaches some computer science and on the FBI website i read that computer science was good to have. BUT, is Bioinformatics a good major? My initial plan is to go to med school but if that fails i need my back up plan. I know i can get into med school with that major as long as i have all the other required courses, but will this major land me a spot in the FBI if i do good enough? Anyone have any advice for me?

Alright so if I’ve understood you correctly you want to major in something that will lead you to either a med school or FBI?
I’ve just browsed thru the Agency’s website and it says that no one major will help you become a special agent,; they have no preferences. However, the website also says that majors in law, accounting and engineering are more “desirable”.
So I would say that you stick with Bioinformatics if you have no desire to major in law, accounting or engineering.

Yes a major that can help me get a job with the FBI is medical school doesnt work out. Ill be in the pre-med program so ill be taking all the required classes for med school but i still needed to choose a major. I was thinking bioinformatics was a good one to. I dont think i would do good/like law or engineering. Especially not accounting.

How would a major in behavioral sciences do? Would you choose Bioinformatics or behavioral sciences? Both majors would do fine in med school because most want diversity. As long as i keep my GPA up and get good MCAT scores. But my real question is, Which one would do better if i tried to get into the FBI?
