I just got in to UT Austin and USC for business, which are both top 10 business schools. I also have a full ride to Oklahoma City University, one of the best business programs in the state. So I’m feeling a lot less nervous about Penn. I’m still dying to get in though.

Nothing compares to Wharton.

So where did everyone else get in for their backup?

Right now I'm only into one backup school... Ursinus College at which I have a nice scholarship. I'm also is good shape to get into Franklin & Marshall and Vassar. The other schools I've applied to are Haverford and Amherst.

If I get into all of my schools (HIGHLY unlikely) it's between Amherst and Penn.

well these aren't really "back-ups" per se because they're great schools:
Cornell
USC with big scholarship

and with Penn that makes my top three list for RD... decision's going to be tough... but a portion of me still keeps Penn at the top for me, so I'm really praying to evolution that I get in.

UMich engineering is my backup, and im in. ill also wager ill get into stevens institue of technology. UCLA is probably an in too, although i havnt received a likely letter like a lot of the engineers have.

Penn, columbia, berkeley (UC), northwestern, hopkins are my reaches. but penn is far above any of the other schools, even if i got a full ride id take penn in a heartbeat :) !! (although my parents might think otherwise....)

and yes, i realize the incredible inferiority of penn's engineering program to the other schools i mentioned. but penn is penn, and that does it for me !

My backups so far are UVa (echols) and William & Mary. I've waited so long that I have literally lost any interest in what college I end up going to.

Cornell Engineering (likely)
UNC - Chapel Hill (OOS) - Robertson, Honors (potentially)
University of Missouri - Columbia (Walter Williams Scholar)
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (Institute of Technology)
