I just got my AP Psych score in the mail, i got a 2. I'm not much of a standardized test taker. In the class, I had a B my first semester then an A the second semester. Will this effect my college admissions process at all? Should I just cancel my score? I'll be a senior in the fall and I'm gonna be taking AP Lang and AP Gov.

It would suggest that your AP Psyhchology class was probably not taught at the AP level (at least to the admissions people). I wouldn’t report that score if I were you…

^That would be suspicious though. Admissions Officers would see the class/grade on his transcript and see no corresponding AP score.

What schools are you applying to?

I’m self studying psych and this is making me sort of nervous. I am a good standardized test taker in general though.

They’ll see grade inflation.

@aGGie: I want to apply to Syracuse, Penn State, BU, Bentley, maybe American. I don’t have a final list yet.

Then I would not be too terribly concerned about it. They will most likely not take these AP scores into much consideration in the admission process. What is more important is gpa, sat, and class rank with these schools. Anyone correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct in my opinion. Those aren’t that competitive of schools where they would take AP scores into consideration over any of the statistics that Aggie listed.

All I can say is, you are in a lucky school. =(
