Hey so I got a 3 on ap calc bc and i was wondering if that affects college admission and if its really badbecause the ap calc bc test is supposed to be really easy? Also does this mean I have to take an extra math class vs those who got a 4 and a 5 on BC (i got 4 on AB)
AP Calc BC isn’t easy necessarily. The reason the scores are so much higher is because the majority of people who take BC are much more advanced students than students of other courses. A 3 is not bad, BC is HARD.
Anyway, In college you would probably get credit for calc 1 and start with calc 2. Students who got a 4/5 on BC would often get credit for both and have the OPTION of starting at calc 3. However, a fair amount of students who got a 4 on BC will take Calc 2 instead. Are you going into either science or math in college?
@gopgal yeah im gonna be a senior this fall and i plan to do some form of comp sci.Is this bad for my major should i take the calc 2 at a community college orjust take it in college?
also does a 4 on ab then a 3on bc mean Im slacking or something
If you want to go to UCI, note that a 3 on BC (or 4 on AB) can be counted against MATH 2A (first quarter calculus):

@ucbalumnus so I take math 2b if i get into uci? like thats the highestclass I can take withmyap scores assuming I’m ready of course
