I participated in a political campaign and was planning on using it as a topic for one of my UC essays. It was a crazy experience, and I know I can write a interesting/revealing personal statement about it. I know TONS of other applicants will write similar essays, so will this topic, in and of itself, hurt my chances at Berkeley or LA? My other essay will be more risky and unique, so I think it should be fine, but I would love other opinions! With scores and EC's, I think I'm good (ACT:33), so I don't want this to make me seem boring! Thanks!!!
