i just called admissions (I'm an international applicant) and asked why some people i knew received decisions over e-mail and i haven't.

their reply: "i'll ask them to resend it."

.."thank you.."

i am freaking out right now but i have to go to school.. wish me luck. i've never had a feeling like this in my life. impending doom it feels like.

To Nickel Xenon: I am sorry you are going through your long wait to hear from USC. Have you called admissions? Is it possible your letter/package is lost in the mail? In regards to your current situation, I have been to both Boston and New York. Unless NYU has a particular, unique, sought after program, I would take the Boston U. financial aid package. You have until May 1 to decide. Unless there is a possibility of really uncomfortable housing, why not wait until closer to May 1 to decide? Boston is friendly to college students and there are so many college students in Boston! However, I sense you really want USC and I hope your acceptance letter comes tomorrow!

Well, I got into NYU GSP and at first I thought it was a death sentence. xD But now I think I'd rather go somewhere I'd get more attention with smaller classes. I really don't mind going to either actually, but I really want USC. =/ I am still waiting since NYU has yet to send my financial aid package. I thought maybe my USC letter had been lost, but there's no way this many people haven't heard back. And my counselor keeps saying, "Sometime this week." That does not help me. -_-

My S is still waiting. Had the exact same status as Musicforlife and we still can access our financial aid info page. School mate of my S (lives 2 blocks away) was denied today. Beautiful, very smart, dancer who would have been perfect on the dance team. She called admissions and was told they did not take anyone with a gpa of 4 or less. Don't know if that w or uw. Doesn't make sense with the info we have seen on the kids accepted so far. There have been some under 4.0. She also had a letter from a pro football alum(very famous). So there you have it.

hmm that seems odd to me that the admissions counselor would say that because I have defintely seen a handful of people on here get accepted with a GPA under a 4.0

I bet it was someone that didn't know. =/ No offense to the adcoms, but some of the people answering our questions don't know what the heck they're talking about. -_-

Nickel Xenon: What has happened at your school? Did everyone hear? Did hundreds of kids at your school apply to USC? If you are the only one who hasn't heard, then maybe your admissions packet is lost in the mail. It sounds like you really want USC. If you think your profile matches the accepted range of students, why not call the admissions dept. tomorrow? Does USC have everything they need (application, fee, test scores, etc.)? I am sorry you are going through this.

Only two other people applied besides. One got a scholarship for being a National Merit and I think the other was rejected. =/ I don't remember what his decision was, but I know he said he'd gotten all his decisions and has already picked out the school he's going to. I doubt it was lost in the mail because too many people are having the same issue as me. They have everything they need since February.

yea, i definately hope it comes tomarrow, and then the mailman hands me the mail with a huge USC envelope on the bottom! i just cant believe we havent gotten anything yet. my neighbor even just called wondering if i;ve heard yet, but had to tell her, still nothing!

Awh man, the reception for admitted students is April 6th on Sunday. =/ If I don't get accepted/rejected by then, I'll miss it. DX My second choice school has the reception on the same day too.

I had started reading all these boards when I got worried about my USC app and why I seemed to be the only person waiting (me and another boy who was 2nd in our class out of about 750). I live in Southern California and I thought all the waiting and the fact I was "lumped" with him was a good thing, but both of us got rejected today. I think my app went in review on the 27th and then they made the decision on the 29th... Definitely a bummer, so I wish everyone waiting good luck! And if anyone is off to NYU (or maybe Berkeley) I'll see you there!
