Chance me for CIVIL ENGINEERING. Thank you. :)

In. I’d say safe match. You’d be hard pressed to get into one of the top tiers, though, with the GPA.

I got into UCD last year (attending now) with a similar GPA (3.6) but much worse SAT scores (1810/550/550) and ACT scores (26).

It depends on major also. For humanities/liberal arts majors, it is easier to get into than for engineering majors. According to UCD Admissions, the college of engineering is the most difficult to be accepted into at UCD. The same goes for the various Bio majors as well. Bio and engineering majors are quite competitive. Civil engineering is one of the more popular engineering majors. You have a fair gpa and good SAT’s so you have a fair to good shot of getting in.

For your alternate major, if you put down a humanities major, then you have a great shot. If it is a science/engineering major, then you might be dead meat.

Nate, what category does Psychology fall under? Is it in any way an adversely affected major??

Letters & Science, but you can have a Bio or Math emphasis.

It’s one of the most popular majors at UCD.
