I don't care what you say, Germany and Austria are Central Europe.

Lol this thread turned into an arguement ^^
By the way..
Missouri University I need a 2250?
Right now, you need a 24 on the ACT, or 1100 on the SAT. How would someone need 2250 for Mizzou? My EC's are good enough in my opinion for a state school.. or am I wrong? I agree with the Stanford and Washington part though, partly. :)

LOL you guys are so weird, who gives a crap about the dead genius dude, look, someone help out the junior kid here okay? okay, im not going to tell you what chances you have, because i honestly believe that no one on here can give you an accurate prediction. HOWEVER, even IF those were your real stats, i wouldnt be too confident, because remember (esp. stanford) there are ALOT of other students out there that have a perfect 4.0 9-12th grade, great ECs, basically, alot better than you. also, you're right, your 9& 10th grade gpa arent very spectacular. your ranking should improve...be at least in the 10% or something. try to do a little more of something that makes you stand out a lil more, because as of now, your chances are probably lower than the average student applying to the top schools. goodluck tho.

Picking a college class is like casting a play, if they need the tall oboe player that is good in debate....That person gets an advantage.

Since you are a junior..consider providing some great community service and stay active in a club.

We can't predict your chances because you could write an inconsistent and offensive essay and that can keep a smart kid out.

i put my vote in for western europe... and i've been there

Did you take the PSATs in October? I would say they would be a more realistic prediction of your SAT scores come spring than at-home practice tests. Care to share how you did on the PSAT?

In any case, I agree with others who have noted your lack of extracurriculars. One year of playing tennis is not going to get you into the highly competitive schools on your list even if you do soar on the SATs...unless, of course, you won Wimbleton this year. :)

I'd say your best bet is to continue to study for the SATs, work hard to bring that GPA up as high as possible, and start thinking about which teachers you could ask to give you stellar recommendations nest year. But, I'd also advise you to be realistic and add a few good safeties and matches to your list as well. It is easy to find "reaches" but harder to find and fall in love with realistic matches and safeties - spend some time this year doing just that and you'll come out fine next year one way or the other. Good luck.

Thanks guys this helped a lot more. Regarding the PSAT, I moved the summer before I was supposed to take it, so I sort of never got a chance to take it
:( Also, I will have 2 years of Tennis, 1 year of key club, and 1000 hours of community service. So far I have done 700, 300 isn't hard. I am also applying for a summer job. Does that sound decent? I was just surprised because I thought Mizzou was easily a safety for me.

"Late Edit: I will expect an A+ every class both semesters senior year, and will have a 4.83 for that year."

that's amusing and hilarious and absurd.
