(This is copied from my other chances thread)
Ok so im looking for any schools maybe near the east coast which i could get into with these stats. My UWGPA comes out to be 3.23 (so low :C) and my WGPA being 4.5, my class rank will probably be top 25% and i have taken 9 APs. My EC's are good with interning at various hospitals in the summer and i have one leadership position. My recs are excellent and i dont need financial aid(dont know if this matters). I am instate and my SATs are 2190(retaking) the M+CR being 1430. Thanks for any input.

First of all, instate where?

Your gpa might be low, but your SAT’s and EC’s are very good. What’s your major? Small school? Big school? Major?

ah sorry for not providing any info at all.
I live in maryland, im looking for any size college however one with small classes would be nice. My major is premed (which i know isnt a major but i havent really decided on one :/), i really do like a nice campus and im more for a suburban kind of school. East coast schools are nice, however anything in the U.S. is a worth a shot.

University of Md is a strong school in your state.

Yeah haha thats the chances thread i was talking about. Im already looking at UMD but if i dont get in then i also want some decent alternatives.

Try mid-tier private schools. Maybe Boston College, University of Richmond, Villanova, or OOS schools like Worcester Polytech, VA Tech.

Would Villanova really be within range of my scores?
I thought it would a really high reach. But thanks for the suggestions!

You won’t get much aid from Nova but it will only be a slight reach…I’d say 66% probability. Go for it man.

thanks haha, im fine if i dont get any aid, as long as i can get in thats enough for my family lol.

Just make sure your ACT isn’t bad… like 27 or better.

Oh does nova require the ACT? Because i already did semi-well on my SATs so if i can skimp on the acts that would be fun :D.
