So in my freshman year i was a really lazy person. I didn’t take any IB or AP classes and my GPA was 3.375. When I became a sophomore i realized I was off the track so I decided to work hard and I finally got a 4.1 gpa with 2 weighted classes. I’m worried because my freshman year will affect my high school GPA significantly. Is there anything I can do? Do colleges look at each individual year or are they just gonna look at the average gpa? Thank you so much for helping!(Junior and Senior years are expected to be 3.9-4.2 but with more IBs)
Schools will consider grades from each year. you should work hard in an effort to master the material at the highest level possible. That would be true regardless of how well or poorly you did in previous years.
Why are you posting here? Are you trying to impress med schools with your HS grade?
