Bad Grade in Math for NHCM

So I’m a sophomore guy in high school, and I’m interested in the nursing and Health Care Management at UPenn.

Unfortunately, my math grades are not very stellar.
I’m taking the most rigorous course of study for math, but I got an A/B+ in Algebra 2 Honors next year, and I can only pull off a B for the first semester of PreCalculus Honors this year.
If I were to get an 800 on the SAT II Math Level 2 and pull of a 5 on the AP Calc BC at the end of junior year (I will matriculate into AP Calc BC in 11th grade), will they overlook the 2 B’s I receive in my 9th and 10th grade math classes? Thanks!

@Lenovant Honestly, it’s better to receive those grades now as opposed to later on in high school. Penn accepts many applicants with Bs on their records, and now you can improve and show an outstanding upward trend. I think you’re overthinking it slightly, which we all tend to do.

Thank you!!! That’s good to know. I think I am overthinking it

You think UPenn is the ONLY school that offers nursing or healthcare mgmt?

Lol no sry. I was just talking about the program specifically at upenn. Sry I didn’t specify

Hi @Lenovant! Currently in the NHCM program. I wouldn’t be too concerned with your “low” math grade as long as admissions sees an upward trend.

Thank you @pmsleepy !!! That’s great to know! Btw, I see that you are a NHCM Dual Degree on other threads. What is it like? May I message you about it in the future? I heard that NHCM dual degree students are in the single digits, so I would love to hear about the program first hand from you! XD
