In Ap chemistry I have a high C, would this get my acceptance to University Park taken away? I am struggling only in this class
Have you already been accepted? If so, then no. Penn State doesn’t even look at senior year grades. All they will want to know is that you’ve graduated with the classes you needed to get into your major.
If you haven’t been accepted, then that C and it’s impact will be decided by the rest of your grades and your test scores
Similar situation happened to me-I ended up with a C+ in my AP Macroeconomics class during my junior year (believe it or not, AP Macro/Micro are two of the hardest AP courses my school offers as my HS is very business-oriented). I have decent ECs, good grades for other classes, took challenging courses, decent essays, etc. and I got into Smeal in University Park. So I’d say as long as your grades are strong everywhere else and you have good essays and such you should still have a chance.
