I go to a community college in California, trying to be a Biology major, then transfer to either UC DAVIS or MERCED. I came from a CSU with money problems and bad grades and have been trying to improve since. I took Biology 1 at the community college and failed 3 times because the teacher there was really bad. And she was the only one there for Biology 1. After working my butt off, she still fails me because her tests are 1: cumulative, and 2: worth 55% of the grade. Now I cannot take biology 1 anymore because of the new California law, which is basically 3 strikes, you're out. I found that I was good at chemistry and wanted to change to that, but now I am worried because I needed to take Bio 1 at least for certain admissions as a chem major and cannot take bio anymore. I would've tried at another community college but that is impossible because I live with my parents and I am literally bound to EVERYTHING in the house and they pay for my vehicle and check the mileage. Plus my job doesn't pay me well enough. I think now I have completely lost my chances of getting into a UC or any other university for that matter. My GPA is in the toilet as well. 2.18 It is barely licking probation. Anyone ever been in this situation? Also, it does not mean much, but I am also live with a disability.

You’re in a pretty harrowing situation at the moment. I think you’ll have to stay at your community college or take a break for a few years. Just work for now.
