Bad grades in college and looking to go back (need help)

ok so im 22 and im looking to go back to school but have trouble figuring out where to start.
my first try at college was horrible. i had enrolled in community college and majored in criminal justice which is not what i wanted to but my parents kinda forced me into it (although at the time i didnt know what i wanted to do either)
long story short i hated it and didnt feel like going so i didnt and ended up failing and withdrawing from all my classes my first 3 semester (my second and 3rd i was going part time and was only taking like 2 classes) my gpa might literally be under 1 but i really dont know

anyways my question is here i am now 2 years later and im more mature and finally know what i wanna do with myself but i feel like i cant or dont know how to begin. i dont know where to begin being that my grades were so horrible my first time around. Am i even able to apply anywhere or go back with such bad grades ???? like what should i do, any suggestions ???

I think a community college will let you back in. Call and ask.

Go visit local community colleges. Talk to their advisers. Sure some will try to sell you (because if you enroll, they make money) but try to get a feel for which one you’ll feel most motivated to perform. Know that many of your classmates will be in the same boat. Don’t hang around the unmotivated ones (there will be plenty). Find the few in each class that really are serious and work with/ study with them. Best of luck to you.

thanks for the feedback. I have an appointment for tomorrow at 2 local community colleges so we’ll see how that goes. and this time around i wont hang around the kids who are there slacking off. i have a different mentality this time.
