Bad grades on old transcripts

So about 10 years ago I took classes the the CC in Florida. I only took four classes, 1 A, 1 B, and 2 F grades. I'm having my transcripts transferred over to my CC here in California. I do not plan on hiding those grades when I transfer, but I'm trying to plan the best course of action.

Do I leave it alone, and play it off as that's who I was, this is who I am now? Explaining it all in my personal statement.

Only one of the failed classes is offered at my school. Should I retake the course to make up for the bad grade? Honestly, I'd rather not, but it might fall under a general ed.

Do I try to get my old school to knock off the bad grades because it's been so many years, and now I do have an outstanding GPA at a CC level?

I really don't want to mess up my GPA, or have it effect all my hard work now in a negative way. But I do know I need to have those transcripts on file when I transfer. I'd also like to have the time now to work on it, rather than messing around with it my last semester. I've still got a ways to go for my major.

From what I’ve observed, it seems like academic growth is a huge plus, so I personally don’t think a couple F’s from 10 years ago will affect your current “outstanding GPA” (if I understood you correctly).

You should, however, definitely retake whichever class you can to get a better grade. When it comes to transferring, just explain that the other class was not offered at your current CC. The better option would be to retake the other class at another CC, though.
