<p>I recently got accepted into UCSD and UCSB, stil waiting on the others. However my predicted grades for my senior year didn't match up due to some personal problems. ( Was still coping wit my uncles death who i lived with for the last 5 years and then my parents decided to get a divorce before my exams.) I had a hard time concentrating through out my exams. I was even working as a tuition teacher several hours a week during my because we did have money problems and I didnt want to be a burden to my family. </p>
<p>If you wondering why I didnt drop my job is because these kids I was teaching also had exams and I couldn't abandon them. I had a duty to do and I tried my best.</p>
<p>Also did serveral hours of voluneteer work, which helped me cope throught it all. I broke down mentally and only thing that brought a smile to my face was helping others out. </p>
<p>My 10th and 11th grades are perfectly fine. Just my senior year i got 1 D in physics and 2 Cs in math and chem.</p>
<p>Are my chances blown for UCs?</p>
<p>I called up UCSB and they said I need to write a letter to each UC explaing why I got such low grades. </p>
<p>I feel really low. After all I 've been through and this just shatters me ...=( ..</p>
