All the lectures for the classes I want to take in Spring are on MW (some on Friday)
Is this a super bad idea? (Considering 2 of the classes I'm taking are Math1B and UGBA10)
I'm just worried that there will be lots of cases where midterms are on the same day or something...

hmmm. yea. it really depends on the person… for me. i like most of my classes on MWF. i hate 1 +1/2 hrs… can’t concentrate for that long. but that’s me.

I prefer to have all of my lectures on the same day, and then have labs/discussions on other days. That way, on “lecture days” all I really have to do is sit, listen, and take notes. Then on the other days is when I actually do stuff.

But that’s just me.

Yeah, the good part is not having much homework due on lecture days.
The bad part is, I’m just scared of having midterms and tests all come up on the same day or something.

I agree that it depends on the person. I prefer having all my classes on a few days and getting the other days off.
This semester, I have 3 lectures back-to-back-to-back from 8am to 12:30pm on TuTh and one 3-hour long lecture and 2 discussion sections on Monday. My Wednesdays and Fridays are free for studying and volunteer work. I’m a commuter student so it’s convenient for me to only have to be on campus 3 days a week (save time and BART money). And luckily for me, none of my midterms are on the same day (and I have five of midterms this semester… well, seven if you count my take-home ones).

I found this schedule to be very doable and (if I’m lucky) I’m going to try getting a similar schedule next semester.

^Like people said above, a lot of it depends on the person, but if one of your main concerns is having midterms all on the same day, I wouldn’t worry too much about it because I don’t think it would happen that often, if not at all. If you can handle lots of time sitting and listening, then it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have most of your lectures in one day.

so you only have lectures monday and wednesday? that’s awesome, it’s like a 3-day weekend + a holiday in the middle of the week! :P

I find the more classes I have on a given day, the more food I have to have on me at any given moment. If I don’t pack multiple lunches, and eat often, not only does my stomach distract me, but my brain turns off.

Just a tip.
