Bad idea to send supplementary materials now?

I was recently interviewed by an alumnus who strongly encouraged me to send in slides of my artwork, despite being past the deadline.

Yale's website says that no supplementary materials will be considered after December 31st, but a few people have told me to disregard that message.

Yale's my first choice school, so I really don't want to do anything that would jeopardize my decision.

Would sending in slides several weeks late hurt me? (or would it have no effect at all?)

Thanks!

My exact same situation

A lot of the alumni interviewers are ill-informed about the current admissions scene, even those who graduated 5 years ago. I can't tell you if sending in the slides would jeopardize your application, but I wouldn't base your decision to send them in on a comment by an alumni interviewer.
