<p>So I got home from a swim meet yesterday, and my mom tells me that a Yale interviewer would like to interview me. I'm like o.k. Next day, I call the guy, and i'm like hi my name is so and so..i'm calling regrading my Yale interview..
He says: What Yale? Okkkkkk I'm not sure what you saying but I;m from Harvard? Did you apply?</p>

<p>...I'll explain to him on Monday of the situation.</p>
<p>Will this affect my chances? Now he knows I'm applying to Yale..
Btw is it standard for him to ask to bring my transcript and test scores?
I'm like great.. I hope he doesn't pre-judge me on that</p>
<p>Just play it to your advantage. Laugh it off, briefly tell him the story with an "aw shucks, you know how mothers are" kind of tone, and either it'll charm him or at the very least (if he was offended) let him know it wasn't you who was being boneheaded. Regarding the fact that he knows your applying to Yale, be ready to articulate very concisely with H is your first choice and Y is a back-up or at least not your first choice.</p>
<p>Haha! Oh no, I would be so mortified if I were in your situation.. I'd probably be speechless lol. But don't worry about it, just explain that you were told a Yale interviewer was called, not a Harvard one. I don't think he will be that concerned about H vs Y because the truth is that a lot of applicants apply to both schools, and Harvard knows it has the highest yield in the country. As long as you can joke about it with him and then move on it should all be all right :)</p>
