Bad Interview Experience

I requested an alumni interview in December. Long story short, my correspondence with the interviewer has been on and off. The interviewer stopped contacting me altogether then resumed contact after a week or so - that went on for about a month. About two weeks ago, I emailed the regional counselor, politely asking to be matched with a different interviewer, but I never heard back. However, I recently got a call asking me to interview from the interviewer. After changing the location and time at the last minute (the interviewer changed it), we agreed to meet at a coffeeshop.

So I went to the place where I was supposed to interview, but the interviewer never showed up. I waited for 25 minutes, called the interviewer and left a voice mail asking what's up. The call never got returned, and around 40 minutes after the time we were supposed to meet, I leave a voice mail, apologizing for having to leave.

I don't even know what I should do at this point anymore. I emailed the admissions asking if there is still any way for me to interview but I doubt it is going to help much.

Call the admissions office!!

do call and email the admission office. in case they hear another version. at the very least, it shows that you are very interested in this school.

I’m a little bit afraid that they might think I’m whiny? Oh well, can’t hurt. I will call them tomorrow. Thank you!

Whiny would be complaining about an interview going badly. You didn’t even have one because the actual interviewer didn’t show up. That’s not whiny. Calling the admissions office is definitely the best course of action.
