alright so I basically got straight B's junior year with like 2 A's and a B+. I took 6 total classes so I guess it's not tooo bad. but still. it's pretty bad.

so i was thinkin if i get my senior year midyear to be a 4.0 (i'm taking 6ap's) would that significantly alleviate this?

my overall gpa is a 3.75 uw and i've been taking a healthy amount of ap's.

i have a 2300+ sat reasoning and good subject test scores.

I wouldn’t say your chances are totally diminished, but they’re definitely not as high as they would’ve been. If your SAT is as high as you say and your EC’s are good, then you still probably have a decent shot still.

You still have a fine chance at getting in anywhere you want really. At a certain point better grades and scores can only get you so far in comparison to the rest of your application. So just don’t let the grades get worse (hopefully make them better), and you will be fine.

Do you mind saying what classes those B’s were in?

But like other people are saying, the college application process is unbelievably random. It’s becoming more and more based on personal qualities and unique experiences outside the classroom, with grades simply needing to be above a certain threshold.

Well the A’s were in psychology and APUSH. The B+ in AP Lit. The B’s in AP Bio, PreCalc and Spanish.

But if it helps, I don’t know how much, my final exam scores were A’s except for ESPANOLLLLLLLL cus I decided to study =]
But then again, half of them were Regents…so I’m not too sure how impressive that is (it’s most likely not).
