So I just saw this...

Early Signs That College Yields Did Not Change Dramatically - The Choice Blog - NYTimes.com

In summary: 384 deposits, 390 spots. Sorry fellow waitlistees; it really does suck, but I thought you all would like to know..

Wow, super depressing. So what… six people off the waitlist of ~300? But thanks for sharing. I definitely will not get my hopes up.

yikes.

I do have to hand it to the admissions staff though for coming so close

Other colleges will be working their waitlists, so there will be some melt.

But it is still best to work on falling in love with wherever you submitted your deposit.

you also have to consider that some of the folks who sent in their pomona deposits are on other waitlists themselves, and may withdraw at a later point.

… or that some people may defer and take a gap year.

jenqster- thanks for the post. now i know not to get my hopes up, haha.
