Bad semester junior year

I'm currently a college-bound junior at one of the most competitive prep schools in the country. I have kept my grades up, had good ECs and sports throughout my high school career. However, this semester (first semester of junior year) I got hit hard with the APs I chose to take and poor performance in my math and science classes. I received a C+ in math (the first grade even close to that which I have EVER received). I'm worried that one bad semester will kill my chances at the type of college I want to go to. I took the SAT for the first time last month and received a 2110 and am shooting for a 2200+. Can I recover from a bad semester like this? Ideally I hope to attend either Georgetown, Boston College, University of Virginia, or Wake Forest. If I get it together next semester can I recover from this semester?

Thank you.

I definitely think that you can make up for it, but you will have to score really well on your AP’s and restore your grades to A’s in order to do it. I know that colleges like upward trends, and so showing that you are the kind of student to pursue good grades and work hard to do well is a really nice way to boost your resume.
