So up until junior year I had UW 3.93 GPA. I had gotten 2 B+s in sophomore year due to my grandmother who had raised me passed away. I am also top 10% of my class out of 65 people and have strong ECs.
My SAT is 2250 w/ SAT 2s: USH (750) M2 (730)
But this senior year I think I am getting 2B+s and a B…I’m suddenly getting too many B’s and it’s freaking me out.
I tried really hard but my private school is quite rigorous and I am taking the HARDEST classes available with all the Ecs, essays, and all the other stuff I have to do.
My new UW GPA will probably be 3.85 which is a huge drop…and I’ll have a total of 5 B’s
I’m really worried…I’m afraid I’m not going to get into any of the schools I applied to which are
Johns Hopkins
Princeton (LOL)
Harvard (LOL)
Brown…
WashU
NYU
Northwestern
Emory
UMich
PennState
UIUC
USC
As of now, I just want to go to JHU…do I have chances at any of these schools anymore w/ my senior grades?
What are yor ECs? Your GPA won’t be that much of a problem, and your test scores are good. It’ll all boil down to your ECs and Essays.
Your gpa is fine as long as you make it up with you ecs, which I’m sure you will since you applied to top schools
Funny enough, my friend and you have the exact same college list
thanks guys!
haha maybe we’ll end up at the same place @master1006
Dude you’re fine stop freaking out over a B… don’t let that keep falling though because then it could be a problem. You have amazing test scores and you could pull it off. Here’s my guess to be taken with a grain of salt
Johns Hopkins: Low Reach= Waitlisted
Princeton: Reach= Rejected
Harvard: Reach= Rejected
Brown: Low Reach= Accepted
WashU: Low Reach= Waitlisted
NYU: High Match= Accepted
Northwestern: Reach= Rejected
Emory: na
UMich: High Match= Accepted
PennState: Match= Accepted
UIUC: Match= Accepted
USC: High Match= Accepted
I’m sure you’ll fare slightly better at that. Wish you the best and let us know how it ends up
