<p>Ah, I see now. It’s not necessary to post the whole essay. I think it’s important to keep in mind how the reader is going to see what you write. It’s easier for the reader when your writing flows naturally and is clear. Vivid imagery is (in my opinion, maybe not some teachers’) something that should be worked on after you get the first two points down. I think very few people actually master the whole process, and most people don’t appreciate how difficult it is to do so. </p>
<p>Simply being good at it requires a lot of practice. It probably also helps to read well-written books and articles and try to understand what makes them good. That’s not always easy to do on your own, and a lot of teachers aren’t good at helping. Ironically, they tend not to be good at communicating what actually needs to be fixed and how problems should be fixed in more than just that specific case. The “thesaurus” reference for example, means that your writing isn’t flowing naturally because of the word choice. That type of comment tends to only make sense to people that already understand and can successfully avoid the problem it points out.</p>
