Bad test-taking room/uncontrollable test takers/dejected proctor

Well my school does not have the best budget, and the only room able to accommodate the large amount of students for SAT/AP is a "theater" presentation room with desks designed for quick note taking; the seats are slightly bigger than a mouse pad. Also, the seats are so close that without trying my elbow can touch the person in the seats next to me. Couple that with a small room, next to none air conditioning and a proctor who can't really control us (she's a vice principal too).

That adds up to very easy cheating, talking during the test, and a generally uncomfortable atmosphere. I would sign up at a different school, but what's the chance it will be different?

Take it somewhere else, if you dont like being distracted

find a place thats really “high up”. go to like some rich part of the city where u live. haha thats what i would do. haha

you think that’s bad lol?
for the PSATs which you almost have to take at your school, we have to sit in the auditorium where the teachers give us rectangle wooden boards to use to write…we have to hunch over to write and it’s NOT fun lol
we usually do this for midterms/finals too if you’re unlucky enough to get the auditorium as a room
and my school is supposed to be loaded lol

Our last center told everyone to take a loo break, but told then subtracted five to ten minutes from our total time because it wasn’t their fault we could hold it for a few hours. :(

theReach - you should report this to the ETS. It is totally unfair. I hope you will take the test at another center.
uttaresh - you should also report this to the ETS. They can’t deduct time from your test. Thats outrageous.

Outrageous or not, I’m from India. This stuff happens, and we can’t really do much about it. ETS probably won’t be bothered about a testing center half-way across the world.
