Hello! I was wondering if you guys could suggest some traditional well known research universities, that have a more LAC feel (with smaller class sizes, undergrad focus).

Thank you in advanced!

Hello! I was wondering if you guys could suggest some traditional well known research universities, that have a more LAC feel (with smaller class sizes, undergrad focus).

Thank you in advanced!

could you help us out by giving us some stats, some regions, etc.?

Tufts, Brandeis, Tulane, WashU, Rochester, Bucknell, Emory, Duke, Miami, Northwestern, RPI, Vandy, Princeton, and a number of good honors colleges like those at Alabama, South Carolina, Michigan, UT, and UVA.

Thank you for your response, My stats are 4.4 GPA, 34 ACT. I love the west coast, but would be fine anywhere. as long as it is a suburban/ urbanish area.

so all of those schools will work except Bucknell. If you love the west coast, I think of the Claremont consortium as a a research uni with lots of LAC opps because quite a bit of good research goes on at the Claremonts as a whole.

How about money? have you run the net price calculators and talked to your parents about how much they can contribute?

btw, I like your thinking about college opportunities. a research uni that looks out for its u/gs as much as its grad students is a really nice mix.

I would add Rice to jkeil’s list

Harvey Mudd?
