Baldwin Wallace application timing

Hi everyone, longtime lurker here finally posting. Baldwin Wallace looks like it could be a great fit for might daughter, but I have read here how important it is the apply early because the audition spots fill up so fast. How early is early? September? October? Grateful for any wisdom you all have.

ASAP. I believe the fall audition date was full by the end of September and the rest were full by the end of October. Also, unless it has changed, be sure you submit the supplemental application and pay the audition or they will not schedule you!

Thank you!

Yes, definitely schedule it ASAP. Last year their application submission opened August 1st. Since you have to audtion on campus the slots fill up quickly.

Apply as early as possible. You do not need to have your transcripts together or the essay. You can add all of that at a later date and good luck! My son will be starting his freshman year there in just a few weeks. It is a wonderful program on a beautiful campus.

Agree with the above. My nephew was completely shut out and he got his application at the end of October. It’s a good “first one”!

You don’t need to ha e the essay done? The Common App essay? How is that possible? Can you add it later on? Or do you mean a supplemental essay?

My D was shut out too and she applied before or on Nov 1 two years ago. I’m betting it’s only gotten worse. Don’t panic, just prioritize getting the Common App in good shape and push the button at BW as soon as you can! Do that before you finish pre-screens if you have to - that was our problem, we thought we needed to be ready for everything before applying anywhere.

They have their own application to fill out. He did that application and scheduled his audition on August 1. The essay that was asked for, however it was possible to submit later as were the transcripts.

Okay, that makes sense. It never occurred to me that it was a different application than the Common App. Thanks for the information and advice.
