Ball State Decisions

LOL, whynotdreambig, once again, we are in the same boat! Ball State said they would let us know by the 15th, which is tomorrow. My D and a bunch of her friends rec’d that email, but then never heard anything else (we auditioned at NYC Unifieds). If we don’t hear by the end of this weekend, I may call on Monday.

Hah! Monkey 13 we have a lot in common. At this point a wait list would be great news. My D has one acceptance which she isn’t that excited about. I feel bad stating that because I know she should be grateful as I’m sure there are many talented kids that have no acceptances yet and would be happy to have 1.

We are in the same position as you. We received the email, but as yet have heard nothing else. We have assumed that means a reject for this one.

Same thing here.

I was just told that letters are in the mail.

@jeffandann-Sounds just as “good” as the check is in the mail, lol. I agree with MTDancerMom, I am assuming that this means a reject if we haven’t heard by now. Oh well…another one bites the dust! We knew this process would not be an easy one. Still waiting for that first acceptance…

My thoughts and prayers are with each member of this board that you all receive good news from a program very soon.

My D also received the email shortly after Chicago unifieds. She really liked her audition there and felt really good vibes from BSU. We have not heard anything since. Still waiting and wondering.

I had the same situation as dreaminbig and checked my junk mail on my email and I am on the Priority Waitlist and the date on it was yesterday so check that.

Thanks dg22894, congrats and good luck. No email yet for D though, keeping fingers crossed.

my D called last week and told them she was taking an offer an another school. Hopefully they got her message. So that would be one person less on the offer list.

modg1234—do you think they got it? My D was put on a priority waitlist last week!

She said she was going to try and reach again. She has rehearsals very day from 4- 9 so if she forget during the day, it is too late when she gets home. I try to remind her again.

Did she try emailing them?

Do you know if they over admit? Because sometimes getting to the waitlist takes a while, if ever. I know nothing about Ball State and did not apply but often just because someone declines an offer it doesn’t mean a waitlisted person gets in. They know most accepted students will have other choices.

modg1234—Congrats on your Daughter’s acceptance to her first choice school!! You are where I want to be soon. What a CRAZY process!

actor12…you are right. They probably do over admit.

She wanted to call them instead of email because they called her when they made the offer. djexpress, this was a crazy process. When we look back if seems like a fog. And yes she is more than thrilled to get into her top choice, but would have been very happy at Ball State too.

I guess I am just confused how the people that got the “highly considering” email didn’t even make it onto the waitlist…just interesting

modg1234…CRAZY CRAZY! I think it is less difficult than getting in an ivy league school. Seriously. We are getting offers now which is very nice. Looking forward to visiting some campuses next month.
