Bama Bound?

We’re from SoCal so S is flying into Birmingham at 4:30 pm 5/30 and flying out 10:30am 6/2.
Anyone flying in around the same time interested in sharing a shuttle??
H and I went to T-Town in Jan (Loved it!) and we are going again in Aug to help set S up his dorm so we can’t squeeze another trip in this year. Darn it!

Hey…I think you’re practically an old neighbor of mine. I grew up in Placentia and lived in Anaheim Hills until I moved to Alabama.

There is a student from EHS that goes to Bama. There are also others from OC at Bama.

Hopefully, someone who is an incoming frosh and going to that BB will chime in. Obviously, they don’t have to be from OC…they just have to be arriving in B’ham around the same time. :)

Also…can you post on this thread?

Too bad, DD and I are arriving at 10:30am 5/30 and leaving Tuscaloosa about 3pm on 6/1 to go to back to Birmingham.

Yes, S is graduating from EHS in June. Wow, what a small world!

If my son is staying in the dorms for Bama Bound, how early does he need to arrive? We want to fly in after work on a Wednesday, but we would be getting in pretty late.

@ Yorba
Im going to be arriving in birmingham at 4:30 on the 30th as well though my flight isnt till 5 on the 1st

Yorba2Bama, I’m originally from SoCal, too – grew up in Ventura County. I married a Southern man &now I’ve got the accent, too!

Are y’all originally from the South? If not, you might like to brush up on the culture…here is a book I found helpful! LOL
[Amazon.com: A Southern Belle Primer: Why Princess Margaret Will Never Be a Kappa Kappa Gamma (9780385416672): Maryln Schwartz: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Southern-Belle-Primer-Princess-Margaret/dp/0385416679/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1304658540&sr=1-1)

Oh my, I may have to get that book for my daughter as a graduation gift!

I’m thinking my son should read it before he arrives ;). Amazon also recommended SWAG - Southern Women Aging Gracefully. I’m not Southern, but I could use some help there.

My entire Southern Exposure was the 3 days I spent in T-Town last Jan.
I’ve ordered “A Soutern Belle…” and “Swag” -
I’m still getting used to “y’all”
We’re “you guys” out here on the west coast…

Y2B,
You have got to tell me how the books are, maybe I will get them if they are available for ereading.

“I’m still getting used to “y’all”
We’re “you guys” out here on the west coast…”

…And “yinz” in Western PA. :)

*We’re “you guys” out here on the west coast… *

Since I’m from Calif now living in the South, I’m bi-lingual…I say “you guys” and “y’all”.
