Bama vs. UT Viewing Party - Chicago

Parents, prospective students and Bama fans - please come out tonight and join us as we watch the Tide crush UT. $5 Alabama Slammer special.

Because it’s also a restaurant, minors are welcome. There is one whole room dedicated for Bama fans - you want to go to the area furthest to your left (as you stand in front of the building).

[Another Round Bar and Grill - Another Round Bar and Grill](http://www.anotherroundbarandgrill.com)

If the city it easier, you can also visit the [HoundstoothSaloon There will be lots of alums there - not sure how many parents. The alums are great. If you want seating, you will need to arrive a good while before the game starts.

I will share with you that this time last year, when Bama so quickly came on our radar my head was spinning, I saw posts like these and thought to myself that never in a million years would I attend or did I think these people would want me there. I was so wrong. The alums LOVE our kids and celebrate the fact the we’ve chosen their alma mater. CC is great and so helpful for many, many things but does not give you the perspective and knowledge the alums have. If you are not in the Chicago area, you can Google for your own local alum chapter or post/send me a PM and I can ask our alums for contact info for your area.

Parents are also welcome to join the alum association - info and pictures of their awesome t-shirts (included in membership) RollTideChicago.com Watch Party](http://www.houndstoothsaloon.com/)

My son and I watched the BCS championship at an NYC viewing party. He was an admitted student at the time, and the experience was the final factor in his decision to attend Bama. The rest of my family is going to the NYC party tonight. They want to experience a bit of the magic.

There are so many parents who post wondering if their kids will be able to find employment in their local area after graduation. These watch parties are real life proof - a room full of UA grads working in your local community - as well as a lot of fun.

I have to say that contact w/ Alumni was key to us choosing UA! Kim was one person that I met thru my contact w/ the Chicago Alumni Association. Laura emailed my questions to a group of Chicago Alumni and got phone calls and emails and more than all of my questions answered.

In fact Kim and I have become friends. Our daughters have become friends. Just a testament to the kindness of the Alumni and Southern hospitality.

I took my D, and one of her friends, to Another Round to watch the Championship game. It was an eye opening experience. LOL We learned Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer. We learned to holler “BOOM” for big hits. We sang songs and hugged people we did not even know. Needless to say that this experience was a definite plus in the UA column. A second visit to campus 10 days later sealed the deal.

I HIGHLY recommend that if you have questions about how Northern kids do at UA or specifically how kids from Chicago do at UA reach out to the Chicago Alumni Association.
