<p>Class of 2014 flutist!! I’m in both wind ensemble and marching band. Im working on piccolo (have the option of trying out now that I’m an upperclassman). Any fellow flutist will understand my frustration with over blowing the higher octave so they go sharp.<br>
We just got our tunes for the upcoming season, I’m pretty excited. Bands such a party. XD </p>

<p>@bandgeek96: We played Second Suite this year too! All four movements though. In the fourth movement, the alto who plays the solo at the beginning looks like Peeta, so a friend and I came up with words to melody that have to do with The Hunger Games… yeah, we’re cool.
We also played Arabesque by Sam Hazo, which I HIGHLY recommend looking up. Phenomenal song. Anything by Sam Hazo, really.
And we just found out our marching band show for this year… gonna be DreamZzzz from Gary P. Gilroy. Don’t know if I like it yet. It’s my senior year, so I hope it really grows on me.</p>

yes i love them too. Our band teach picks real good music. & gah contest we played Gallant Marines, West Highland Sojourn, & Tribal Quest got an Excellent ): it’s cool though we’re getting that superior next year!!</p>

yes Foundry was amazing! a lil hard at first true. it’s so different because you have to rely on yourself counting cause you can’t really listen around for others. you have to know your part cause no one else does. everyone sorta kinda has completley different parts but it all works together!

most definitely understand the whole pic. thing. no one can play it in our band. & i think we are getting some new stand tunes & we have our music for our marching show and get to listen to it tommorrow. and the drill is in the process of being written i can’t wait.</p>

Gah all 4 that is crazy. if we did that we would’ve had to cut out something our chops would’ve been blown! & hah yes you really are cool. me and my friends probably would’ve done that too. Band Geeks are just weird but its okay lol (:</p>
<p>@everyone OMG our concert was sooo amazing. i didn’t cry shocker!! it was so sad to see the seniors leave the stage. We have our band banquet thing more like a big cook out in the school gym thing i told yall about on Friday. then sunday a small group of us is playing at this special graduation service. then next friday we play at a baseball game and that is it for this year ):</p>
