<p>Yes, Michigan has Marching Band scholarships. They are not very wealthy, so the scholarships will not be great, but they are not bad either.</p>

<p>^Perhaps the OP did not understand that you cannot PLAY in the marching band unless you’re a UMich student, or that you have to be an accepted student before trying out.</p>
<p>The question makes no sense in that context kmc. Why would the university give somebody who is not an admitted student a scholarship?</p>
<p>They were probably asking is it like athletic recruiting where they offer you a scholarship before acceptance and that helps with it or do you already have to be in.</p>
