I didn’t know about the possibility for cash checking at the bursar’s office. Is there a fee for this? Our daughter has a Bank of America Account and it is very easy for us to transfer money into her account. She has used the First Market campus ATM once for a special purchase that she needed cash for. The fee was $2.00. There are Bank of America ATM’s at area malls - and the closest Bank of America is an easy driving distance, but I would not call it a close walking distance. We thought establishing a Bank of America account for her would be better as the First Market serves pretty much only the Virginia community, and we are not from the area. First Market seems to have a huge relationship with UR as the football practice field is named after them and they are the only ATM on campus. We keep a minimal amount of funds for her on OneCard as there are pretty restrictive rules about getting $ out once in there. Most things on campus can be purchased dollar for dollar with the bank ATM. An exception is when some students sell tickets for certain campus events and will except only cash or the OneCard debit.

There is no fee for cashing checks at the Bursar’s Office, so encourage her to come on over to Brunet Hall and save the $ from the ATM. :)
