Bank on campus

which bank has branch in Duke campus? Any bank of America near by?

What do most student use?

There's a BofA ATM in the Bryan Center I think and a branch somewhere near campus (so I hear). I personally use Wachovia, they have an ATM in the BC and one in th hospital area as well as a branch a couple blocks from East. It helped that there's a Wachovia branch near my house too. :)

In the Bryan Center there are ATMs for Bank of America, Wachovia, and Sun Trust. All three have branches near campus and are pretty convenient to use. Personally I chose Wachovia and I have no idea why (I think they were closest to the door at the Bank Registration thing). If I had to choose again, I'd probably pick Bank of America because they just seem like the more advanced company (looking at the ATMs at least) and they are more spread throughout the U.S.

Wachovia is the only bank that also has an ATM on East (at least, when I was a freshman....haven't been back to East in a while). Wachovia worked out nicely for me - plenty of branches nearby and the ATM on East tipped the scale for me when I chose a bank freshman year.

^ Oh yea... that's why I chose Wachovia.

Keep in mind also, there is a Wachovia within walking distance, but not a Bank of America...you have to drive to that.

The ATMS, however, do have direct deposit (albeit unreliable as of late), so if that's the most you anticipate doing than I would get either Wachovia, Suntrust or BOA.

BOA sounds too, I can use it in CA (home) too. Thanks!

I have a BoA account and I am from CA, just so you know for BoA CA accounts.. you can withdraw cash from the ATM (not that you would that much on a college campus) but you can't deposit at an ATM, you have to go to the nearest branch, which is off East campus at Northgate Mall. It is something to do with CA being big enough that we have our separate system in BoA. They said they were going to integrate the system by the end of my freshman year (may 06)... but they still haven't done so yet... they are getting bugged down by the countrywide integration or something.
