Banks and ATMs?

I was just wondering which bank account would be most convenient ot have at UCI? Also, which banks have the most ATM machines on campus? I'm going to open a bank account, and I want to open one that will give me the most easy access and convenience.

I don't know about the ATMs on campus, but I hear Bank of America has the most banks anywhere, so you never have to worry about finding a BoA bank.

Where are the ATMs on campus anyway?

I say the best bank to have is either Bank of America or Wells Fargo. They are two really big bank companies, and they'll be everywhere around Irvine. ATM machines are around campus I think. I saw one set with WaMu (<--I think), BofA, and Wells Fargo. You can't go wrong with BofA or Wells.

The ATM's are located in the humanities area right across from Humanities Hall on Ring Road. They have Bank of America, Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union (OCTFCU), Washington Mutual, and Wells Fargo. The closest bank is Washington Mutual which is down the street in front of albertsons.

I would recommend one with an ATM on campus (wamu, BoA, Wells Fargo), simpy for convenience. And I would generally go with one of the larger national ones, just because it sucks when your bank has like all of 5 branches, all within like 20 miles of each other. Saves the hassle of having to set up a new account and transfer the money if you ever move from where it's located.

Personally, I have wamu, and I haven't had any problems, and it's convenient having a bank so close to campus, but then I have a car so it wouldn't be a big deal anyways. If you don't have a car, might want to take that into consideration.

bank of america is everywhere

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'll go with B of A.

I used to have a BoA account, but switched over a year ago to Wamu. I find it a huge plus how close it is to campus.
