Hi everyone. My daughter just got accepted ED. Can anyone tell me what banks/ATMs are located on campus. Want to open an account for her in a bank that's hopefully near home and WashU. Thanks.

Congrats! How exciting!!! My daughter uses Bank of America. They are on campus. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. :)

Thanks! We have a branch round around the corner from us so that’s perfect.

Ok, seriously, how completely cool is this moment? My son is also in the ED class. Never thought the concept of Bank of America would make me giddy. Lol. My kid would disown me if he knew I was posting. Congratulations all!

Just for reference, there are at least 3 BoA atms that I can think of on campus: one on the South 40 (Gregg by the storefronts), one near upper row on the northside (by the tennis courts/Seigle), and then one at Mallincrodt.

This is, of course, in addition to the actual BoA itself. Not sure where exactly it is now, but it was on the 2nd floor of Mallincrodt last time I was on campus.

Do note for parents/incoming kids who are looking at opening a student account: be careful if you keep it past graduation because they burn you with fees when it transfers form a student to a non-student account (this happened to several people I know).

There’s a thread over at my son’s school CC forum created by a parent few years ago. It’s a great thread where all parents or students can go and ask any questions. Like what bank is on campus. How to get to campus from airport. And so on. Does such a thread exist here? If not I’ll create one. Just didn’t want to duplicate it.

No, I dont’ think there is one. That’s a great idea!

Ok. I’ll create one then

Hey, families–this is great but I want to add that Wash U is incredible about making sure you will all be well-informed with useful materials. The stream of both paper and email from the school will now begin and it is impressive. Congrats to all.

The Bank of America on campus is still in Mallinckrodt but now it’s on the ground floor and outside the rest of the building. It’s on the side with the library.

^ Thanks. I couldn’t remember if the “new” location was 1st floor or 2nd floor. I’m getting old I guess lol (I swear some of my years at washu blur together…)
