Bannaker Key scholarship

Has anyone at UMD won this scholarship? If yes, than what were your stats, ECs, etc? Thanks.

Bump.

Anyone?

I'd like to know as well>........................................................

You have to be scholastically nuts to get this scholarship. My roommate is here on a full ride from a BK scholarship, she had 1570/4.0/president of everything. Basically, I think it's a way to lure Ivy-quality kids to UMD. Hope that helps.

Has any1 been experiencing problems w/ the UMD website lately? (just the online application at www.uga.umd.edu)

smaratleck, the admissions site said that the priority deadline was extended to Dec. 8th because of the technical problems. So, I guess others experienced the problems.

My friend is at UMD on a Banneker Key scholarship, as well. I think she had a 3.9 in a Baltimore private school, and a 1520 SAT. No idea about ECs other than badminton.

Transfer101 and willywonka, I was asking because I have similar stats to those- 1560 SAT, 4.0/4.64 etc. Do you guys know how many people recieve the scholarship every year? Thanks.

the "best" 200 applicants

hey guys, def not aiming for the scholarship but wat about just getting accepted?
i know my stats are lower than umd's standards but i was wonderin if u could evaluate my chances...

I think that if you have 3.5/1250 you're just about in UMD range, so you are close. You probably have a good shot.
