What are my chances of being accepted into the Honors College at the University of Maryland and then getting the Banneker Key scholarship?
I am a Junior
Weighted GPA-4.43
Unweighted-4.8
ACT-26
SAT-didn’t get score back yet
I have taken AP Bio, AP Psych, AP NSL. IN NSL I got a 4 and haven’t recieved other AP exam scores yet.
Next year I plan to take AP Seminar, AP AB Calc, AP Comp. Sci., AP Lang and self study for AP World
I have taken Spanish up to level 3.

Extra Curriculars:
-National Honor Society:Historian -Part time-Teacher
-National English Honor Society -Captain of Relay for Life
-Art Club:President -Mentor for young kids
-Club/Rec Volleyball -I got more but can’t think of it at the top of my head…I’ve done three internships with doctors
-Spanish Honor Society
-Math Club
-LEOS Club
-Volunteer at Nursing home
-Sign Language Club

PS-Does anyone know if you get the full ride at UMD do you have to stay on campus or you can still go to uni from home?

What is holding you back is your ACT score. 26 is too low for nearly any full ride or honors college, especially at UMD. You have many other strong credentials though, you appear to be a great student!

Is your unweighted GPA a 3.8? Otherwise it doesn’t make sense.
