nobody has any information??????

Mine, no. Enjoy!

was that supposed to be rude?

it just that i am going to maryland because of this scholarship..i had to turn down schools like duke, stanford, georgetown and hopkins because of money so i wanna know if their are any academic benefits aside form the money that one can take advantage of...?

Mine is Different...Yulsies son won a full ride to MD also so I am sure was not trying to be rude.
Why not call and ask regarding other benefits you might receive since no one here seems to know.
My D. visited all of the schools you mentioned except Stanford and preferred UMD. She is in honors there now and loves it! Very good school and great facilities.
Goodluck there and enjoy your scholarship! Look at it this way when you graduate you will have a super education from a great school and no bills!

Mine, the Honors students that I know are very, very happy - they are uniformly impressed with the quality of their education. What orientation session are you going to attend?

i wanted to attend the june 22 one but due to procastination i will have to attend the july 14th one...i am little worried that i won't get all my first choice classes

We just met with an admissions counselor today from UMD, who told us the Banneker/Key scholarship pays for tuition, room, board, books and gets you in the honors program. No other benefits were mentioned, but that seemed like more than reason enough to be thrilled!

My congratulations to you for winning this very nice scholarship!

My son and I were there - they talked about free tickets to Clarice Smith events (2, so you can take a friend or date), and that you could keep any money you didn't spend for books ($952 per year), and that you could keep any outside scholarship up to $2080 per year - money in your pocket.
