BAR question

I just saw the payment we have to make to our BAR account to UCLA and if you multiply that amount by 9, it is around 27,000 when the efan said it was 24,000. Does the amount change each month?

Uh, what? What you see on your BAR is tuition. You only pay tuition three times a year, at the beginning of each term.

Really only 3 times a year? Now that seems low.

Uh. the 24 is the number of your entire cost of attending university. including housing, food, medical expenses, transportation, books, etc. tuition and fees are only a part of that and only costs about 8000 dollars. dude. please tell me you’re joking or had one hell of a brain fart.

i fear for you.

Wow, low? I thought it was kinda expensive … are you rich or something?

I think it should be between $8,000 and $9,000ish, total. Then housing/meal plan makes up most of the rest.

cough

I don’t know whats going on here, but there is a section for “HOUSING” in the BAR.

At least for mine there is…

50calgoesboom, there should be a link to the housing website when you log on to URSA, but you pay for your tuition and housing separately (in other words, your BAR total does NOT include the cost of your housing). The $2,700ish total (if you waived SHIP- with SHIP it should be about $3,000) that you should see when you view your BAR account only applies to your tuition and miscellaneous fees. You have to go to the actual housing website to pay for your housing, and you make those payments either quarterly or monthly depending on which payment plan you chose.

does anyone know when the bar fee is due? mines just shy of $3,000 and i was wondering when we have to pay for it. thanks :)
